Multi-product calibrator plus reference multimeter expands your workload
The 5500A Series Multi-Product Calibrator is a true workhorse in a calibration lab. Able to handle a wide range of measurement industries used in various industries. However, calibration labs must be ready to adjust to meet the needs of their customers. Industries, like the semiconductor industry, are evolving quickly, and labs need to improve their calibration offerings in order to stay ahead of competition.
Taking the capabilities of a 5560A, 5550A, or 5540A Multi-Product Calibrator and expanding it with an 8588A or 8558A Reference Multimeter, a 52120A Transconductance Amplifier, MET/CAL, and Fluke Premium Care can take your lab’s workload and throughput to the next level, even offering more sophisticated calibration services.
Pair with the 8588A Reference Multimeter
The capabilities of the 5560A, 5550A, and 5540A paired with the 8558A or 8588A Reference Multimeter creates an incredibly powerful and highly accurate calibration system. The 8588A and 8558A Reference Multimeters are high-precision 8.5-digit instruments that can measure DC voltage, resistance, and current incredibly accurately.
Keep the easy-to-use convenience the 5560A, 5550A, and 5540A offers and add the accuracy and precision of the 8588A or 8558A to your lab’s workload. The system can provide highly accurate calibration and measurement capabilities, so you can be sure the device under test is operating at peak performance, within specified tolerances.
This combination is an ideal pairing for laboratories and industries that require precise calibration and measurement to maintain the highest quality and meet rigid standards.

Measure more with the 52120A Transconductance Amplifier
Your workload is expanded even further when the multi-product calibrator is used with a 52120A Transconductance Amplifier. By itself, the 52120A Transconductance Amplifier is a valuable addition to a calibration lab's capabilities, calibrating a wide range of high-current or -voltage output instruments. But, when paired with the 5560A, 5550A, and 5540A Multi-Product Calibrator, you can increase the current output to 6000 A for calibrating high-current components such as Rogowski coils.
52120A calibration details
- DC current range: up to 100 A at accuracies to 160 ppm
- AC current range: up to 120 A at accuracies of 350ppm
- Output ranges: 2 A, 20 A, 120 A
- Input ranges: 2 V or 200 mA F.S. for 2 A and 20 A ranges, 1.2 V or 120 mA F.S. for 120 A range
- Frequency: DC to 10 kHz
MET/CAL™ automation increases throughput and efficiency
The 5560A, 5550A and 5540A work with MET/CAL Calibration Management Software, offering you direct access to hundreds of automated calibration procedures. Consistently and dramatically improve your lab’s throughput by using existing procedures instead of building from scratch every time you’re faced with a new product to calibrate. to improve throughput consistently and dramatically.
MET/CAL is a powerful software package that helps calibration labs manage their calibration processes efficiently. Take your lab’s automation even further, allowing one technician to handle many calibrations with MET/CAL procedures loaded into your 55X0A. This can not only reduce the time and effort required to calibrate measurement instruments but can also reduce the risk of errors while increasing efficiency. This combination is particularly useful for calibration labs that need to burn through a high volume of calibration work.
Fluke Premium Care protects your workflow
Fluke Premium Care is a comprehensive service agreement that includes priority service, extended warranty, and calibration support. Including Fluke Premium Care with your 55X0A usage allows calibration labs to ensure that their instruments are always in top condition when you need them. This pairing is particularly useful for calibration labs with those high volumes that require fast turnaround times.
By pairing the 5500A Series Multi-Product Calibrator with the 8588A, 52120A, MET/CAL, and Fluke Premium Care, calibration labs can expand their capabilities into new areas. Calibration labs can calibrate the more sophisticated measurement instruments used in the semiconductor industry with high accuracy and precision. You can also automate the processes used to calibrate instruments, reducing the time and effort required. And, they can ensure that their instruments needed to keep the lab running are always in top condition, reducing the risk of downtime and costly rework.
